Artistic Passion
Choreography
I have danced throughout my childhood, learning ballet since Kindergarten, exploring contemporary dance starting from third grade, and developing an interest in hip-hop, K-pop, and jazz during my free time. At Emma Willard School, I discovered my passion for choreography, a way for self-expression, and spending time with my dance family. Spending 9+ hours per week in the dance studio, I have performed 30+ pieces in dance assemblies, cultural performances, school traditions, and fundraising events. I'm an Emma Artist, a beyond-advanced level self-driven art program at my school.
I view choreography as a process of problem-solving, with ever-changing solutions and infinite possibilities. I never know what "solution" I will develop, but the process always leads me to moments of epiphany and creation of my new dancing identities, and that is the joy of “problem solving” in dance.

Emma Artist Program
A beyond-advanced level self-driven art program at Emma Willard School.
After taking advanced ballet and advanced contemporary dance in my freshman year, I started my journey in the Emma Artist Program by starting with the Choreography workshop in my sophomore year. As an Emma Artist, I not only choreograph my own pieces but also design stage lighting, costume, concepts, and am involved in the entire process.
Dance for my community
Dancing is a language of how I communicate with myself and create a shared emotion with my audience. I enjoy bringing joy to my community, being on the stage. In the past three years, I've completed 30+ pieces in dance assemblies, cultural performances, school traditions, and fundraising events.
