Side Projects
Outside the classroom, I believe that "well done is better than well said". By taking on side projects with new technologies and interesting topics, I expand my interests, deepen my expertise, and build meaningful connections with professionals.
Voice Analysis Workflow Automation
I have always had an interest in automation workflow and AI agents to solve the grunt work and manual labor time cost. This is one of the applications of how I executed the automation workflow I created. I helped the New York State Military Museum to transcribe 29 videos (approx. 1866 minutes long), and use n8n, as well as Google Gemini voice recognition and summarization, uploading to Google Docs to save for easy future use. In a short time, I saved about 300 hours—the time that manual transcribing would have taken.
A Dreamlike Fashion Show in the Chemistry Lab
I study at Emma Willard School, a place known for its historical significance and Gothic-style buildings. I often describe that my high school journey is like a bold dream, and I enjoy the classes I have. I also like to explore different styles of visualizations. In this project, I played with the 80s retro illustration and compared a chemistry class to a girl's fashion show. I used Midjourney and Google Nano Banana to generate, this project is a tribute to the happy memories at my school.
AI-Assisted Filmmaking
One of the biggest challenges in AI-generated images is maintaining consistency between characters and backgrounds. I used Google Veo and Midjourney to create images and videos, inspired by Porsche racing films. My work is experimental and still in its early stages, as capturing a true sense of speed on screen is especially difficult.
ESG Intelligence Hub: News, Stocks & AI Chat
I've built an integrated ESG Investment Hub using Next.js for my signature program. This platform empowers users with real-time ESG news from NewsAPI.org and live stock data from Yahoo Finance. I've also incorporated the ChatGPT API to analyze companies' ESG performance and created an ESG chatbot for interactive exploration. It's designed to make sustainable investment decisions clearer and more accessible.

Entrepreneurship and Business Interviews
I want to highlight three of the interviews that I completed, each offering unique perspectives on leadership and management. At the Regional Food Bank in Albany, New York, I spoke with Arin Kutey about how to manage a nonprofit organization and the practical challenges of running a food bank. During Spring Break, I interviewed the chairman of the Everrich Foundation, the largest duty-free company in Taiwan, learning about the duty-free industry, entrepreneurial stories, and how the company navigated challenges during COVID. I also met with Ms. Aviza-Hanrahan, the founder of Rumors Salon & Spa, who shared her personal journey and the challenges she faced with co-founders, banks, and day-to-day operations.
Drop the Science: Rap for Science Popularization
Just as children learn about the world through nursery rhymes, the rap genre, with its extensive lyrical capacity, can certainly popularize science. With this in mind, I created 47 videos, using Suno to create complete songs, and uploaded them to the YouTube Channel. The lyrical content covers topics such as Gravity, Black Holes, Atoms and Molecules, Electricity, the Periodic Table, the Water Cycle, and more. Audience feedback consistently uses "Wow", "Cool" and "Add this 1st", confirming this direction is promising. I'm excited to refine and improve this concept of popularizing science through song.

My Selfie Stickers App
Stickers have always been something people love. If users could upload their own photos and instantly generate sticker images in different artistic styles and expressions of their choice, it would be an amazing experience. To meet this need, I built the project with a Next.js framework and integrated Gemini Image Generation. The website is available at https://sticker01.vercel.app/

Rapid 3D Prototyping
One of the important principles in prototyping is to create a minimal viable product (MVP). I learned that creating prototypes can sometimes be time-consuming during the process of model-building, using CAD with my current skills. I thought of using AI to create a rapid 3D architecture to present the visualization and design of a prototype. This is an example of using Capitol Hill as a demo, and an experiment with how AI can complete the task, which was supposed to take days to weeks, within 1 hour.
